As gamers, we love our hobby. Whether it be jumping online for a few games of team deathmatch or slogging through that epic RPG, we live and breathe gaming. However, we can easily be sat, unmoved and engrossed, for hours at a time playing. This can, if repeated many times, lead to some health problems. That’s why you need the best gaming chair. Not just to make you a better gamer, but to make sure you are safe while gaming.
Your probably thinking, ‘Safe while gaming? Is this fool having a laugh?‘ But I’m not. Being sat still for extended periods of time is scientifically proven to increase your chance of developing many maladies including DVT, and blood clots. Both of which can be horrifyingly life threatening.
Why sit uncomfortably in a cheap seat that’s not only going to affect your gaming performance but also adversely affecting your health?
You don’t want to take the risk of sitting in a seat that’s slowly cutting off circulation and numbing your legs. After all, the last thing you want is a limb to fall off after a hard day’s online slaughter! You want your enemy’s legs to fall off! Not yours!
To save your limbs heaving themselves off, I have selected best 10 that offer a wide range of features and benefits that will protect your health and make you a better gamer. And they come in a wide range of price brackets. Whether you’re looking for a chair as a first-time gamer that offers comfort for a reasonable price. Or a tournament ready, feature packed, built for gaming that runs into hundreds of pounds, there will be one on this list that will satisfy your needs.
The Cherry Tree Racing Sports Gaming Chair – wow that’s a mouthful! – is the ideal chair for the first time gamer or those looking for a bargain gaming come office seat.
Let’s take a look at what makes the Cherry Tree the ultimate on a budget.
Design
Stealing design cues straight out of a 300hp rally car, the Cherry Racing Chair offers sumptuous hardcore looks at a price that I had to look at twice to believe. Seriously at £69, it’s an absolute steal.
Upon planting my bum on it for the first time, I could tell this was a seat my behind would be very happy to sit on. High-quality faux leather overlays a generous helping of high-quality foam. This is one that will definitely chase away ‘Numb-ass’ syndrome.
The premium look is amplified with aluminium style armrests hugging in from both sides. They are well padded and serve well to ward off arm fatigue and the bruising that harder armrests can lead to.
Key Info

Materials – Faux leather, Plastic
Seat height range – 47 – 57cm
Maximum height – 110 – 120 cm
Maximum weight – 120kg
Width – 51cm
Armrest height – 68 – 78cm
Cushion – No
Reclines – Limited
Warranty – Standard 1 year
Features
The best feature of this seat is simply its price. Thank god for mass production. Coming in just shy of £70 you could be forgiven for thinking the Cherry would be as bare bones as your proverbial natural history museum dino skeleton. But you’d be wrong. Ok, you’re not going to find the very highest end features here. But for entry level, it’s packed with a lot of goodies.
Another standout feature is the ‘over-thick’ foam padding. The Cherry can happily be sat in for hours on end whether gaming or working. The padding, though not the toughest or highest quality, is incredibly thick and offers comfort way beyond its price level. It offers a comfort level on par with products triple its price.
Final Thoughts
If you’re looking for a low-cost, this is the one to get. If you’re looking for your first gaming chair, this is the one to get. It doesn’t get much simpler as that. Stop looking! Get the Cherry. You’ll be thrilled by it.
If you’re looking for a high-quality recliner that’s not going to break the bank or take up huge amounts of space when not in use, the GT Force is the chair to look at. Employing super smart rotating armrests, this is one chair you want to take a look at if space is at a premium.
Design
The first feature that really stood out for me was the overall aesthetics. Some seriously high-quality workmanship has gone into making this sub £100 feel like it should be rolling around in a Wallstreet brokers office. I ran my hand over the leather and got goosebumps, it’s that good to touch. Plus, the stitching screams high quality. No fraying, no loose threads.
The second design choice is the inclusion of a removable, movable headrest cushion. At this price, no other chair comes with head support. A cushion can aid comfort as people naturally tend to lean their heads away from the chair back. With a cushion in place, your noggin is always supported.

Manufacturer – GT Force

Materials – Faux leather, Plastic
Seat height range – 48 – 57cm

Features
The stand out feature has to be the rotating armrests. Many at any price point, never mind the enticing low price of the GT, have difficulty sitting snuggly under a desk. I find this hard to believe considering most are used in front of PC desks!.
But the GT outsmarts this problem by employing a duo of rotating armrests that can be turned upward when the seat is stored under a desk. This seemingly tiny feature is a life saver if you’re lacking space. Not all of us can leave one hanging around in the middle of the room.
For this reason, the GT Force is worth a look.
Final thoughts
The GT Force Blaze is a beautiful chair to sit in and will let you game all day in comfort. But it’s the simple but super effective rotating armrests that let you store the brute under a desk that sets this chair apart. If you’re lacking space and don’t want a chair sat in the middle of your living room when not in use, this is the chair for you.
If you’re after stunning looks, curl your toes up comfort, and a chair to take impromptu naps on, then the CTF is the chair for you. Sporting a fully reclining frame and a pop out foot rest, this is the ultimate lazy boy gamers chair. And all for a sub £100 price.
Design
We all know that our chairs are constantly hammered by our arses while we play games. We stand up in disgust, then plant ourselves back down heavily. We throw bags on them. Even your fat mate from around the corner takes a heavy toll on your beloved chair. That’s why the CTF has to be commended for its full tubular steel frame. No matter what you do, jump on it, throw it, This thing will survive. In fact, it’s so tough, I’m sure if a nuke went off on top of your house, the chair would still be standing.
And to cover those steel girders, we have some of the finest ‘ultra padding’ – that’s their name, not mine – that any chair regardless of price has. So you have a chair that both super strong and super comfy. Can’t ask for more than that!

Features
The one feature that stood on its toes and shouted out to me had to be the foot rest. I love a footrest when I’m chilling out. To have one built into a chair that’s such a low price is, well, it’s phenomenal. Here you have a chair that’s going to stand up to the rigours of everyday gaming, then let you recline back, flip your legs up, and catch 40 winks before getting back to the action. Yes, the chair in its reclined position does take some getting used to. I constantly felt like my centre of gravity was off and that my head was constantly threatening to crater into the floor. Fortunately, this never happened and the CTF proved to be a mighty fine chair.
Final thoughts
If you like to take the odd nap while you game, no chair is going to be better for you in the sub £100 bracket than the CTF. Sporting good looks and an immensely comfortable fully reclined feet up position, this is going to be the chair that has you enjoying a good rest as much as a good game.
Positives
Half PU leather
Sports car aesthetic without going over the top
Office friendly looks
Looks great
Aluminium looking armrests
Good price
Padded armrests
Leg rests
Fully reclining
Heavy duty construction supports up to 120kg of weight
The Kinsal Big and Tall is the fat max of the gaming chair world. If you’re a big person, or you just want a chair with a little extra wiggle room, then this is the chair for you. Sporting a seat that is 15% wider and deeper, no other chair on this list offers such arse supporting real estate.
Design
This is the ultimate chair for the ‘big boys out there! The Big tall Kinsal is marketed as an extra large chair for the extra large gamer! With seats that are 15% larger than its competitors, it’s ready for the biggest British bums around.
And if that’s not enough, the Kinsal comes packing some of the best cold formed foam inserts for any chair around the £100 price range. And – let me catch my breath, too many features – this is the first chair on our list that has both a removable head rest and lumbar support cushion. Too. Many. Killer. Features.
If you’re not a big fella and just fancy a little more room for your posterior, the Big and Tall will serve you well too.
Key Info

Width – 52.5cm
Armrest height – Variable, removable.
Cushion – Yes, head and lumbar
Reclines – Fully

Features
The first benefit that stood out to me, apart from its frankly massive size, is the weight it can comfortably carry. You see, all other chairs are pathetic compared to this beast. The Kinsal has been to the gym. It has beefed up its bits and can handle a staggering 160KG in weight. That’s 40KG higher than the UK recommended standard for office chairs. Or in other words: It can take the weight of a really fat fella!
In addition to being huge, the Kinsal is also a pure bread gaming chair. For example, it comes with adjustable, game accessory compatible armrests. They can be swivelled and manipulated up and down to meet your personal needs. Though at this price don’t expect too many options. After all, the chair is only £110.
Final thoughts
If your a bigger gamer, or somebody who likes a little more wiggle room in their chairs, then the Kinsal is the answer to your prayers. Offering all the features other mid-level gaming chairs offer, but in bigger proportions, the Kinsal is going to give ultra comfort to gamers that feel squeezed by traditional chair dimensions.
Positives

Deeper seat
High Back
Wider seat
Fully reclines
Removable head and lumbar support cushions
High-quality PU leather
Retains great racing seat aesthetic despite oversize
Multiple colours

Negative
Larger size means harder to get under desks/ into small spaces
The CTF Pro is the first chair on this list that I would call an out and out gamers chair. In a selection of bold colours, this is a chair that was built to make you a better gamer. And weighing in at under £100, the CTF Pro could be the gaming bargain of the year.
Design
This is it people, the first seat on our list that offers a true body hugging race car seat layout. From the way the midsection comes around to hug your kidneys to the seat curving up to hold your legs tight, everything about the CTF Pro screams ergonomic racer design. The CTF Pro Seems desperate to make you feel ‘in the game.’ And what a grand job it does. If you’re an avid racing game fan, the CTF Pro will make you feel like you’re sliding into the cockpit on race day.
Additionally, the CTF has been built to last with the body being full metal. That means the seat is durable and can take one hell of a beating.
Key Info
Manufacturer – CTF
Name – Pro Racing Chair
Cost – £96
Materials – Faux leather, Metal
Seat height range – 65 – 72cm
Maximum height – 120 – 127 cm
Maximum weight – 120kg
Width – 50cm
Armrest height – 65 – 72cm
Cushion – Yes, head and lumbar
Reclines – Fully
Warranty – Standard 1 year
Features
The biggest benefit the CTF Pro offers is the gaming grade armrests. These marvels of plastic engineering will not only support your arms through a tiring bout of CS: Go but also offer a level of customisation which is, frankly, embarrassingly rich for a sub £100 chair. You can position them however you want. And when you’re done, the universal peripheral connections on the underside will grip any gaming device like a gorilla holding his first banana.
Additionally, and though maybe a little strange, special mention must go to the casters the seat runs around on. CTF has managed to develop a caster that Sam Fisher would be envious of. These things are quieter than a blowpipe dart in the neck regardless of the surface your roll on.
Final thoughts
If you want a full on, designed for gaming seat without breaking the bank, the CFT pro is the chair to look at. For less than £100 you get a seat that offers 90% the usability of the top end chairs, for one-third the price. ‘Nuff’ said really. This has to be one of the greatest gaming chairs for the price.
The Langria is a beast of a chair, seemingly made for giants, that not only offers plenty of room for the over-sized ass but is only the second chair on this list that offers full recline capabilities and a pop out foot rest. A combination that I think you might like.
Design
Firstly, it must be said that I did kind of fall in love with the seat the first time my eyes caught it in the shop. She is a damn sexy looking chair with blue-black faux leather covering a sumptuously curvy body. Though she does have a racing car seat pedigree, the Langria definitely is all about the looks.
But look beyond the skin’s deep vulgarities of appearance, and you will find the Langria is full of depth and value.
The padding on offer is some of thickest, the most sink-in lovely foam of any seat I’ve tested. I sank into it and had to be prized out, with a 2 by 4, by a salesman in the shop. I could have sat there forever.
Key Info
Manufacturer – Langria
Name – Executive gaming chair
Cost – £129.99
Materials – Faux leather
Seat height range – 45.5 – 54cm
Maximum height – 114 – 123.5 cm
Maximum weight – 120kg
Width – 56cm
Armrest height – 65.5 – 67.5cm
Cushion – Yes, lumbar, built in
Reclines – Fully with foot rest
Warranty – Standard 1 year
Features
OK, so I have already mentioned it in the introduction: the Langria has full recline abilities and pop out foot rest. But I did not say just how good, how easily this feature could replace your bed is. Yes, you could argue that in every day gaming you’re not going to be horizontal. Fair enough, I agree. But this chair is so unbelievably comfortable when reclined; you could use it as your main bed! Go on, throw that mouldy old bed out, buy a Langria instead!
The chair is so well padded, so lovingly covered with gorgeous PU leather that you won’t want your bed anymore. You can wake up and start gaming immediately. The only issues you have to contend with are eating and going to the bathroom.
Final thoughts
One of only two seats on this list to sport a flip out foot rests, the Langria offers stunning comfort levels that few seats can match. It may not be a pure bread gaming seat, but the Langria is the ultimate jack-of-all-trades and if you need something for more than just gaming, this is the seat for you. If you can get past the blue colour, you will be getting a stunning chair.
Positives
Extra wide for the larger gamer
Fully reclines
Leg rest
Adjustable padded armrests
Durable construction
Thick Padding
Racing seat looks
Negative
Only one colour
Not ideal for an office environment
No detachable head/lumber support cushion
Can feel a little unbalanced when fully reclined and leg rest is out
The GT Omega is the first chair on this list that’s designed by hardcore gamers for hardcore gamers and it shows. This is where the price starts ramping up. But if you want the best for your posterior when playing, this is one chair you need to be taking a look at.
Design
Firstly the GT Omega has to be saluted for having one of the most durable chassis of any chair on this list. It’s made of high strength steel (military grade?) that for all intents and purposes are indestructible. On perching my arse on the chair for the first time, a sprightly sales person told me it could hold a colossal 150KG!. That’s almost three times my body weight. You can buy with the confidence of knowing no matter how heavy you are, the Omega can take it.
In addition to its terminator inspired durability, the chair is a stunner to look at. I mean it’s all black, and it looks like a BMW M3 driver’s seat. How could you not like that?
Key Info
Manufacturer – GTOmega
Name – Pro
Cost – £180
Materials – Premium Synthetic Leather
Seat height range – 47 – 57cm
Maximum height – 110 – 120 cm
Maximum weight – 120kg
Width – 51cm
Armrest height – 68 – 78cm
Cushion – Yes, head and lumbar
Reclines – Nearly fully
Warranty – Standard 1 year
Features
The GT Omega is the first seat on the list to features fully lockable seat tilting. To be clear, that’s not the same is reclining. Tilt gives you the ability to adjust the angle of the seat forward or back. Why you would it tilt it forward, I don’t know, as you would slide right off. But tilt it back, and you add a wonderful bucket seat feel to your Seat. A racing drivers dream setup.
Away from the tilt mechanism, we have some of the finest PU leather ever mass-produced stretched across. Yes at this price I would like to see some real cow thrown onto the seat, but when fake skin feels this good, it might be time to leave the poor cows alone. The self-styled vegan-friendly leather is so soft to the touch it felt like it constantly applied moisturiser to my skin. Suffice to say this extra plush leather has to felt to be believed.
Final thoughts
This is the best made for gaming price/performance chair on this list. If you want to get an unbelievably good chair, for a price that isn’t going to swallow you whole in a whale in debt, the Omega is your champion. This is a chair that offers everything any gamer could wish for from a chair.
Don’t want a chair made out of PU leather, but still want high-end features? The Robas Lund DX maybe the gaming chair for you to sink into.
Coming with plush all cloth racing chair looks, the DX offers all the high-end features you could desire.
Design
The Robas offers mesmerising comfort that excludes the use of leather in favour of high-quality breathable fabric. Now I know what your thinking, you have seen the key info above and thought, ‘I’m not payin’ 280 quid on a chair that’s covered in nylon!’ Well, let me be the first to tell you: you’re wrong. The Robas deserves your attention because it’s an all-around quality performer. The cloth finish is warm and comfortable, yet breathable and it never gets sticky as Plastic leather can on hot summer days.
In addition to the shockingly good fabric, the Robas has some of the best car seat looks of any of the seats on this list. Again, if car seat looks is your thing, and it seems to be every gamers thing, then the Robas will not let you down.
Key Info
Manufacturer – DX Racer
Name – 1
Cost – £278
Materials – Polyester Material, Metal construction
Seat height range – 43 – 52cm
Maximum height – 123 – 132 cm
Maximum weight – 100kg
Width – 53cm
Armrest height – Variable
Cushion – Yes, head and lumbar
Reclines – Limited
Warranty – Standard 1 year
Features
Just by looking at the Robas, you can tell it sweats out gaming pedigree. But lean in and inspect the chair a little deeper and you’ll find the devs have included many a fantastic but understated feature. For example, the armrests have to be some of the best on the market and not just for their endless reconfigurability. No, the Robas armrests also sport unique anchor points to attach any accessory. Turning your seat into Frankenstein’s gaming chair.
Additionally, the chair is extremely light in weight. Being made largely from aluminium and other composite materials, the seat can easily be rolled around and picked up. This makes it ideal if you must insist on taking your own seat to tournaments.
Final thoughts
I must admit that I prefer a cloth covering over a leather covering. For that reason, the Robas is a beautiful chair to curl up in and would be my personal pick of the high end.
However, if you’re prone to sweating a lot while gaming it may not be the seat for you as cloth will quickly absorb. Leading to problems in the long run. But if you can look past this, the Robas stands proud as one of the finest chairs money can buy.
If you’re looking for one the best out-and-out games chairs on the market today, then look no further. The AK Racing is, without a doubt, one of the finest gaming chairs offering a plethora of customisation and personalisation options. This is one chair that is going to change how your game forever.
Design
The first thing that grabbed my attention about the AK racing, apart from the eye blistering fluorescent colour, was how soft the faux leather was to the touch. The marketing man that I spoke to gushed over the painstaking process that goes into every square centimetre of the leather. He talked at length about how Ak leather is 2 millimetres thick, and that other chair makers don’t even try to compete. At first, I put this down to marketing blurb but sit in this chair, and it hugs you like like a warm cuddly cow. If that’s even possible.
Additionally, another standout design choice has to be the casters. I know, getting excited about wheels is sad. But I couldn’t help myself. These things move you around so silently, so smoothly, you will think your gliding on a homemade ice rink.

Features
Apart from the, I expect it for this price, all metal construction, The Ak possess the most full on, everything but the kitchen sink (actually I think the kitchen sink maybe included) customisation I have ever seen. I’m talking more adjustable options than your average PC ‘Options Menu’. The seat can be tilted forward or back to simulate an authentic bucket seat experience. The back support can be reclined to be horizontal. The armrests come with cool marketing names: self-styled ‘4D’ personalisation. Up down, left right, and swivel is apparently just the beginning.
Having sat in and played around with it, I understand why so many professional gamers call the AK Racing their tournament chair of choice. If you’re looking for a chair that can be tailored to your every need. Stop looking. Buy the AK racing.
Final thoughts
If you want the ultimate built for gaming experience, then you have found it.
Nothing comes close to the AK’s reconfigurability and gaming ready features. The armrests alone are a triumph of design that offers so many mounting options for peripherals and accessories.
Simply put, if you’re serious about gaming, the AK Racing should be at the top of your wish list.
Noble Chairs Epic is the pinnacle of chairs. No expense has been spared in creating what I consider to be the best gaming chair ever made. Read on to find out why I think this is the chair every gamer must own.
Design
First of all the Noble is an astounding looker. Seriously, this thing feels like a high-end Bentley seat. Clad in all black and ultra density faux leather, the Noble is at the top of the pile when it comes to quality. If you are looking for the ultimate in game seat decadence, this is it.
Embossed designs and intricately stitched seems to give the Epic – and it does live up to that name – a £150,000 car seat feel. Nothing comes close to the build quality of the NOBLE. It hard to convey just how magnificent, how game changing this seat is. No chair on this list comes close to the comfort, the luxury that the noble surrounds you in. Yes, it costs a small fortune, but the Noble, if looked after, will out-live you.

Features
And the Noble’s quality isn’t skin deep. Oh no, the Noble’s class runs through to its very core. First of all, the Epic is the only chair on this list that’s almost exclusively made from aluminium. Aluminium is very light but it’s usually not as strong as steel. The chair would fold like wet paper under load. But you’d be wrong. In fact, the Noble is the strongest chair on this list taking up to an astonishing 180KG! That’s three of me!
In addition to the stunning build quality, the Epic also offers the best padding of any chair on the market. By their claims, Noble reckon this is the comfiest seat ever made. Apparently, it has the best quality and most cold moulded foam of any seat. And after planting my arse in the black beauty, I can honestly say, I’m in full agreement. This is the comfiest seat ever.
Final thoughts
The Noble Chairs Epic is the finest gaming chair ever made. If you want the best you have found it. The Epic is the best looking, the best made, the best performing of any chair on this list. Yes, it may be expensive, but it’s one hell of an investment and will last you for decades to come.
